Our client wanted to move towards a more proactive, targeted strategy for its international relationships and activity. We have worked with the firm on identifying new markets for their services and deepening existing international relationships. We devised and helped to implement a marketing and profile-raising plan that has led to the firm re-positioning itself in the region and internationally. In 2016 our client was recognised by The Lawyer magazine as one of Africa’s most active law firms.

Our client, a top 100 UK law firm needed to develop a conscious strategy for its international work, following a series of mergers which made the previous evolutionary approach to growing business overseas increasingly untenable.  We audited the firm’s existing  international work and this, together with an in-depth analysis of the capabilities of its fee earners, enabled us to provide the firm with an international positioning and growth strategy. 

Our client, the founder and ceo of a legal software company based in a small jurisdiction, was keen to look for opportunities outside the confines of the company’s domestic market. We provided detailed research into the most promising markets outside our client’s home territory, drawing on our contacts, and knowledge of legal business and culture in many countries around the world.

Our client faced potential new legislation that would undermine its business model in Norway. We provided external support for the company’s lobbying effort to retain the status quo, by giving evidence to the relevant Committee of the Norwegian Parliament, and by providing input into the thinking of the local professional body.

Our client, a boutique Australian law firm operating in a particular niche sector, had developed a growing reputation amongst top general counsel., The next step in the firm’s development was a move into the UK market which would enable it to serve the English law needs of its client base. We provided our client with detailed  bespoke research into their target sectors of interest in the  UK market, covering potential demand for its services, competitors and pricing.  We helped to identify the ideal location and form of the new UK branch and provided introductions to the essential agencies and professionals who could help to make the firm’s establishment in the UK a success.
