This short report summarises the findings from a directory of legal regulators which we prepared for the International Bar Association. The report picks out a number of interesting trends in the world of legal regulation including shifts towards national regulation and greater harmonisation in federal systems, as well as movement towards greater openness to foreign lawyers and more professionalised regulation.
