The International Bar Association (IBA) asked us to dig deeper into the connection between university applications for legal education and how those translate into entries to the legal profession. We did a comprehensive analysis examining any trends in interest in the legal sector and the factors affecting these trends. Our findings provided new insights on how legal organisations can effectively adapt their recruitment strategies fostering a more diverse and sustainable workforce in the legal field and ensuring the profession continues to adapt to constantly shifting society.
The International Bar Association (IBA) decided that it wanted to understand who had responsibility around the world for regulating the legal profession. Over six months we researched and verified the roles and contact details of hundreds of organisations involved in regulating the legal profession in over 170 countries. We were able from this information to produce a searchable online database hosted by the IBA which acts as a resource for lawyers seeking to work in other jurisdictions and as a contact database for regulatory authorities.
A successful continuing legal education provider from a common law jurisdiction commissioned us to undertake a full market opportunity assessment for their products and services in the UK. This included a full review and report of the CPD market and managing a series of consultations across the country with a cross-section of potential users using focus groups, telephone, and physical meetings to make recommendations for the client. As a result of the project, the entity entered the UK market a year later.
We prepared a detailed report for the Law Society of Northern Ireland who asked us to analyse the impact of the continued growth and diversification of the NI economy on opportunities for NI solicitors and identify the future challenges for the profession with recommendations for overcoming these challenges.
