Today marks the beginning of the 78th United Nations General Assembly under the theme – ‘Rebuilding trust and reigniting global solidarity: Accelerating action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards peace, prosperity, progress and sustainability for all’

Hook Tangaza aligns its work with seven of the SDGs – Quality Education, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Reduced Inequalities, Climate Change, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Partnerships for the Goals. These provide a powerful aspirational framework for improving our world, laying out where we need to go and how to get there, together. We agree with the United Nations that responsible business and investment will be essential to achieving this transformational change.

We do this because we believe that change is necessary, and possible, through our combined efforts. Our work around structures, institutions, regulatory frameworks and education is rooted in a belief that robust frameworks are vital for strong states and economies, and for individuals to thrive.

Over the next 18 days and beyond, we will be writing about the Goals, the importance of them in building the better world we want to see, and the progress being made against them and what Hook
Tangaza is doing to contribute to achieving these goals.
